Relationship Issues – Family Issues

“Man is, at one and the same time, a solitary being and a social being … At the same time, as social beings, we are moved in the relations with our fellow beings by such feelings as sympathy, pride, hate, need for power, pity, and so on” (Albert Einstein).

Relationships are a very significant part of our lives that can bring happiness and contentment. Feeling strongly connected with those you love, friends, colleagues helps you to be well rounded as within these relationships you can find love, support, affirmation, guidance and companionship. At times productive relationships that give you all this can evade you. Sometimes people are left feeling isolated, alone, disillusioned and down when they are unable to form significant relationships or also when they are feeling unfulfilled within a relationship. Whichever applies to you I offer you a safe place to explore their needs in terms of relationship issues.

I work with individuals to explore what might be going on for them in their relationships. Often we form our way of being in relationships and experiencing other people during our childhood. This can then lead to patterns of behaviour that we repeat throughout our lives, in all our relationships and in different areas of our lives. Working with a counsellor to explore these processes can lead to more fulfilling relationships.
