I provide counselling at my Private Practice in Croydon (East Croydon) for Children & Adolescents (please note I currently only work with children aged 5 and upwards).

I first began working with young people with behavioural, emotional and social difficulties (BESD) and those with special needs in 2004 at Ashburton Community School and as a volunteer for Croydon Young People’s Project. I have since worked therapeutically as a counsellor with children and young people at Place2Be, with Southwark NHS, and at several schools in the Croydon area.

I have worked therapeutically both short term and long term with children & young people affected by ADHD, Asperger’s, Autism, Dyslexia. and BESD. Presenting issues I have worked with include, trauma, depression, anxiety, extreme stress, anger, dissociation, self-harm, rape, and low self-esteem.  For more information on trauma work with young people please see my EMDR page.

I worked as a counsellor at Shirley High School for four years, building a comprehensive counselling service single-handedly. In my final year as Lead Counsellor, I managed and provided clinical supervision to one other counsellor and two trainees. I have very high retention rates and am skilled at engaging children and young people of any gender.
